There are places that are recognizable – like New York or Paris or Tokyo or the Great Wall – and they are all potentially interesting subject matter.

And then there are the places that aren't so much on the traveled path, like junkyards and stone quarries and manufacturing environments. I find a chicken farm in Ghana or a brick factory in China to be filled with visual potential and surprises.
